Vol.15 When Style Meets the World

This time, we will talk about DOMELLE's new challenge overseas.

DOMELLE has been in the industry for three years, and this season marks its fifth season.

As a new initiative, we have been preparing since last year to hold our first exhibition in Paris in December 2024. The products purchased by overseas buyers there have finally started appearing in stores since around July this year. We are delighted that DOMELLE, which has previously only been available to Japanese customers, can now be seen by people overseas as well.

Even though we held an exhibition in December of last year, we titled it "DOMELLE Begins Overseas Expansion" because, for us, the most important thing is the reaction of consumers once our products are on the shelves in stores.

Now, did you know that there are differences in exhibition practices between Japan and overseas?

In Japan, exhibitions are typically held twice a year (spring/summer and autumn/winter), but overseas it is a little different.

Overseas, the usual pattern is four times a year.

"Pre" is a small-scale advance announcement, and "Main" is a full-scale exhibition.

In Paris, the pre-exhibition for SS26 finished at the end of June this year, and we are now steadily preparing for the main exhibition to be held in early October.

Summers in Paris are as hot as in Japan, but most buildings do not have air conditioning because outdoor units cannot be installed in order to preserve the city's appearance. As a result, many people spend the summer using electric fans.

Even in such an environment, the DOMELLE showroom in Paris has a different atmosphere to that in Japan, and the clothes we make...how can I put it...in any case, they feel different.

Of course, I mean that in a good way.

DOMELLE will continue to create products that we believe in.

We will continue to take on new challenges so that we can deliver the best products to as many people as possible, both domestically and internationally.
